Honestly I do not know what is the official name for this sauce. I got this recipe by experimenting with an earlier batch of white sauce that I made. Apparently this sauce taste great with fish. However I have only eaten it with cream dory so I'm not sure how it goes with other fishes. It also taste good on pasta. ^^ enjoy.
ingredients
2 tbs flour - all purpose
3 tbs butter
1 cup milk
1 clove garlic
1/4 to 1/2 tsp salt
grated Parmesan
grated Cheddar
1 tbs lemon juice - more if required
pepper (to taste)
1 tbs dried herbs (rosemary, thyme)
method
melt butter, add flour. stir for about 2 minutes on low heat. do not let it brown. add in milk, followed by salt and pepper. keep stirring till sauce thickens, add in herbs.mix well and add in cheese. let it simmer and lastly add in lemon juice.
